I wanted to write a fun and educational piece around fashion. A topic that I have had come up a few times is, the mispronunciation of designer label names. While it’s totally not a big deal, why not perfect the name of your dream label? I was able to find a ton of cute pieces and videos online about the correct way to pronounce some of our favorites. Being that most designer brands are French or Italian they don’t sound the way they look. I definitely wouldn’t recommend correcting anyone that pronounces a label the incorrect way. (Unless it’s your bestie!) However, it’s good for a girl to know. Here are my faves? Mostly, French. Are you surprised?! JEAN-PAUL GAULTIER French label. Pronunciation: zhawn pohl GOH-teeay LANVIN French label. Pronunciation: lahn-VAAN HERMES French label. Pronunciation: air-mez GIVENCHY French label. Pronunciation: zhee-vawn-shee CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN French label. Pronunciation: KREEST-yahn loo-boo-TAHN BALENCIAGA French […]
